Which semiconductor ETF is the best? We start with a list of 10 semiconductor ETFs and remove those that use leverage or those with excessive expense ratios. We're then left with four names - SOXX, SMH, XSD, and SOXQ. The next step is to look at the mechanics of each underlying index. For the VanEck Semiconductor ETF, they're the most concentrated because they let their winners ride up to 20%. They also look for heavy pure-play bets.
