Applied Digital stock is trending lately after NVIDIA announced an investment in the company. But is APLD stock a buy? Well, Applied Digital has been pivoting into the "next big thing" since they were founded as a potato farm in Idaho - yes, really. When crypto was starting to become "hot" in 2021, they pivoted into Ethereum mining, and now that AI is all the rage, they're suddenly a data center stock, offering GPUs-as-a-Service. Keep in mind that this company buys lots of product from NVIDIA, so NVIDIA's investment in them should be taken with a grain of salt.
