Listen "Luke 1:26-56 by Pastor Kibet"
Episode Synopsis
In this sermon, we covered the pronunciation of the Birth of Jesus to Mary by Angel Gabriel, Mary's visit to Elizabeth and Mary's song of praise to the Lord. From it we got to draw several lessons including:
1. God does not consider how popular we are, or are not, before He use us
2. God can speak to and use anyone of any age.
3. We don’t have to be special for God to use us, God can use anyone
4. Everyone receives favor from God when they receive Jesus to be our Lord and Saviour. Its called grace: unmerited or unearned favor.
5. Having faith does not mean that we will not have questions.
6. Why should we not doubt God:
- For no word from God will ever fail
- Doubt makes us to miss out enjoying what God has in store for us.
7. How should we respond to God’s promises about our life: “May your word to me be fulfilled.”
8. God will always confirm what He told you.
9. Bad company corrupt good morals. Bad songs, bad movies, bad books, bad conversations… corrupts good morals
10. In God’s kingdom we do not compete, we complement one another. A different role is not a lesser role, we are all serving the same God.
11. When we trust in God and believe what He says, we get blessed
12. Like Mary we should:
l Love God,
l Seek (Look for) God by reading and studying the Bible and praying,
l Have faith in God
l Be humble
l Should put serving God and seeking before our own comfort
