After a devastating war between sky animals and ground animals, peace was finally declared with the heron announcing to sky dwellers and the hare to ground dwellers. Declaring he couldn't be one of them, they took his body to the ground animals for burial. The ground animals, however, noticed his wings and similarly refused responsibility, arguing no ground animal has wings.
