Listen "41: Running Internationally: Falling In Love With Running In The Peace Corps w/ Emmery Brakke-Lautman"
Episode Synopsis
On today's episode, I sit down with a runner with a super unique start to her running career. Most people we've interviewed on the show have maybe not come from a running background, but usually some sort of athletic background that they were starting off with. Not this runner - she's the true "hating to loving running" pipeline.
Her journey starts out in Ukraine, where she was stationed as part of the Peace Corps which allowed her to explore her new home in a way that not a lot of people have. After living there for some time, she eventually decided to sign up for a half marathon in Ukraine and the rest is history.
I really enjoyed this episode, I hope you get as much from it as I did! Follow along with Emmery on Instagram at @emrunsalaut.
