Listen "Episode 42: Kendrick Lamar - Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers"
Episode Synopsis
Of course it's finally time for us to cover a Kendrick Lamar album and it happens to be the most divisive album of his career. Kenny came out of a 5 year hiatus following his most commercially successful album at the time, DAMN, and delivered a double album that is deeply personal and sometimes uncomfortable to listen to. We try to cover all of the various controversies surrounding this album, both fair and unfair. From accusations of transphobia to the questionable inclusion of Kodak Black. But also some of the best material of Kendrick's career to date.In the news corner this week we cover how the hardcore band Gel fell apart over money laundering and leaked nudes. Also it's a Kendrick episode so of course we had to give some updates to the ongoing Drake lawsuit. Strap in it's a long one!Instagram - @MBFrecordspodAmanda's IG/TikTok/YouTube - @MothraLunaJason's Discogs - https://www.discogs.com/user/FrequencyShift/collection Theme music by SHADE08 x 80root on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bewQPpTnfgg&list=PPSV Hosted by Ausha.
