Episode Synopsis

Hello and welcome to this week's episode of My Big Idea, an ASOS Podcast giving young women advice and inspiration to start their own businesses. This week's guest is former BBC DJ and Music Editor of Dice FM, Jen Long. Born out of a frustration with traditional ticketing DICE created something that would cut out the hassle of endless captcha codes, hefty additional fees and the constant struggle to find a printer. DICE is about discovery, helping you get out and see more live music and, more recently, have developed Girls Music Day, encouraging young women to get involved with music.Jen in clear that DICE was not created primarily to sell tickets - it is about reinventing the music industry, making it easier for fans to discover amazing acts and bringing much needed transparency. It’s also about marrying innovative mobile technology with humans who love music.DICE is becoming increasingly popular among music lovers and concert goers, expanding from its base in London to Manchester, Bristol and Glasgow. DICE sell tickets to a huge range of concerts with no booking fees. The tickets are all found electronically in the DICE app, cutting fees and stress for customers. Equipped with her passion for music, Jen's main role is to decide which shows make it onto the app, with tickets to Culture Clash, Loyle Carner and Skepta. This is Jen's big idea. Hosted on Acast.
