Episode Synopsis

Hey friends! This week we take you on a little trip to underappreciated album city. We are going to give some love to albums that got did dirty at the time of release by fans and critics alike but now, with the passage of time, are viewed in a more positive light. First stop I take you on a chaotic spin around Good Charlotte's 'Good Morning Revival'. After their earlier pop-punk efforts this weird dance pop album wasn't received well by many. It was, however, received very well by me. Moving on to the second stop J takes us on a beautiful far more coherent tour around Midlake's 'Antiphon'. She gives an open and honest outpouring of love for Midlake and speaks sensitively about changes in the band that resulted in the very different 4th album Antiphon. Music and we as people are constantly in flux and our opinions constantly change over time. There are many misunderstood albums that deserve more love than what they received and J and I give all the love we can to Good Charlotte and Midlake here. Come join the cathartic earnestness y'all. J & N xoxo
