He first found his love for storytelling in the theatre, acting in professional regional productions in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area throughout high school. After some college he moved to New York to pursue formal training in multiple acting disciplines and directing for film. He returned to Philadelphia and began his career as a director, actor, and theatre teacher, directing and acting in numerous plays and musicals and teaching acting disciplines to high school and college students at Mainstage Center for the Arts. During this time, he also wrote, directed, and produced a number of short films, several of which achieving success in the festival circuit.
