With a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Maryland at College Park, Karolyn brings a strong academic foundation to her work. Her extensive background includes almost two decades of experience in education, where she served as an elementary school teacher, a G.E.D. instructor, and a private tutor. Through these roles, she cultivated the values of service, patience, and kindness, which continue to influence her approach to leadership.
In addition to her educational experience, Karolyn boasts an impressive 20-year career as an administrative professional, who provided critical support to top-tier executives, lawyers, and judges both in the federal government and private sector. Her blend of educational and administrative expertise positions her as a multifaceted leader with a unique ability to bridge gaps and drive positive change.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Karolyn's dedication to advocacy extends beyond her professional endeavors. Having been reared and educated in Prince George's County, Maryland, she is deeply rooted in her community and derives strength from her large, close-knit family. she's a loving daughter, a supportive sibling, and an encouraging aunt, embodying the values of family, community, and empowerment that she so passionately promotes in her work.
