Listen "MTalks—BLAKitecture Indigenising Education Part 2"
Episode Synopsis
What does Indigenising education mean in the built environment? Should we learn about the Indigenous built environment and, if so, what should we learn, and when, how, why and from whom? Hear from current students, graduates, practitioners and educators about the past, present and possibilities for the future of education and its representation of Indigenous perspectives and realities.
MPavilion’s second annual BLAKitecture forum brought together Indigenous built environment practitioners on the Yaluk-ut Weelam land of the Boon Wurrung people. The 2018 forum aimed to centralise Indigenous voices in conversations about architecture, the representation of histories, the present state and the future of our built environments. BLAKitecture 2018 was curated by MPavilion’s program consultant Sarah Lynn Rees.
