We must prepare ourselves with the gospel of peace, the good news that Jesus, the Prince of Peace, has brought peace between man and God. With this truth we can overcome evil with good and love others as Christ loves us.
Elder Bryce Lowrance • "Entertain Strangers" - Hebrews 13:2
After a brief review from the end of chapter 12, Elder Lowrance teaches how that the same refining fire of God that defeats His enemies purifies His children to walk in righteousness. By His grace we have been able to walk pleasing to Him and in benefit to others. The Apostle's second reminder, after let brother love continue, is to not get into the habit of forgetting to care for those outside our circle. Our first responsibility is to help those of the same household of faith but we must also continue taking care of those who are outside the church. Our lives tell others what we think of Jesus Christ.
