In this episode of mosaic we hear from young leaders with Federation about their experiences traveling to Budapest, Hungary. While there, they connected with Hungarian leaders, and Israeli leaders who all traveled there to discuss the future of Hungary’s reemerging Jewish community, explored historic sites and learned about the unique position Hungary found itself in during the Holocaust. They visited with Ukrainian refugees at the Budapest JCC and explored a summer camp helping children discover their Jewish identity. mosaic is Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County's news magazine show, exploring Jewish topics that affect the local and global communities. Hosted by community leader Susan Shulman Pertnoy, mosaic airs in the Palm Beaches weekly from January to April.
