Listen "Let's Listen"
Episode Synopsis
Lost amidst the political unrest and passionate discourse regarding the Black Lives Matter movement, stands our brothers and sisters in Christ. Our family is hurting. It's too easy to take up a cause and miss the loving compassion Jesus calls his children to express. "... mourn with those who mourn." - Romans 12:15 When Jesus wept for Lazarus and his family, he did so knowing the truth that Lazarus would live. That knowledge didn't stop him from comforting and mourning with the ones he loved. Christ's church is called to do the same. The issue of race relations in the United States is a nuanced and complex one. But let's not forget to comfort those in pain, regardless of differences in opinion. Let us be "slow to speak and quick to listen." - James 1:19+++Stay Connected+++Website: http://www.momentumchurch.orgMomentum Church Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/momentumgbMomentum Church Instagram: http://instagram.com/momentum_churchMomentum Church Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/momentum_churchTim Payne Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pastortimpayneTim Payne Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/timjpayneTim Payne Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/timpayne_Support the show
