In this episode of Momentos & Voices, I sit down with Rose Ann Martinez, Athletic Director at Harlandale ISD — a proud alumna who is now leading in the very district where her dreams first began.



Since 5th grade, Rose Ann knew she wanted to be a coach. That dream, born from the love of sports and the mentors who believed in her, became the driving force behind her journey. Today, she’s not only living that dream but also paving the way for future generations as a Hispanic woman leading in a field often dominated by men.



We talked about what it means to persevere through challenges, the pride of representing Harlandale ISD, and the lasting impact coaches and teachers can have on a child’s life. Rose Ann’s story is a powerful reminder that dreams don’t fade — they grow with you when you have the courage to keep going.
