Why should I open that email?
Nothing gives me a reason that I, as the recipient, will benefit from opening this message. When you write “important message from xyz” all my sirens blare “don’t open it, you will waste your time”.
Examples for good subject lines:
“Tom told me you’re thinking about integrating a new CRM”
“Your running buddy Jane said we should have lunch”
“I noticed you’re interested in aerospace, just dropping you the latest news”
