Hace algunos meses mi esposo y yo adquirimos un nuevo instrumento en casa, fue un cuatro y estaba muy emocionada porque ya tenía tiempo con ganas de aprender a tocarlo, justo unas semanas después se le partieron unas cuerdas a mi guitarra y como no pude reponerla rápido me tocó usar el cuatro y aprender sobre la marcha,cuando compré las cuerdas guardé el cuatro y me olvidé de él hasta ayer que recordé que estaba allí sin recibir cariño de mi parte, me sentí culpable debo admitir.
Bien, mi historia con la canción que hoy les interpreto me resulta interesante porque era una de las canciones de Shakira que menos me llamaba la atención, me parecía sosa, hasta que realmente le presté atención a la letra y me hizo reflexionar y también imaginarme cada frase de sus versos. Me parece importante tener a nuestro lado personas que se conviertan en ese brazo que nos sostengan cuando caemos, o esas manos que nos ayuden a reconstruirnos cuando estamos rotos, esas personas no son cualquiera, son de nuestra entera confianza y vaya que son tan necesarias.
Escuchando el ritmo de la canción y su esencia musical quedaría muy bien el cuatro y por hoy dejé mi guitarra a un lado, espero que a ustedes les guste tanto como a mi.

A few months ago, my husband and I bought a new instrument for our home, a cuatro, and I was very excited because I had wanted to learn to play it for a long time. Just a few weeks later, some strings on my guitar broke, and since I couldn't replace them quickly, I had to use the cuatro and learn as I went along. When I bought the strings, I put the cuatro away and forgot about it until yesterday, when I remembered it was there, neglected by me. I must admit I felt guilty.
Well, my story with the song I'm performing for you today is interesting because it was one of Shakira's songs that I liked the least. I thought it was bland, until I really paid attention to the lyrics and it made me reflect and also imagine each phrase of her verses. I think it's important to have people by our side who become that arm that holds us up when we fall, or those hands that help us rebuild ourselves when we are broken. Those people are not just anyone; they are people we trust completely, and boy, are they necessary.
Listening to the rhythm of the song and its musical essence, the cuatro would fit in very well, so today I put my guitar aside. I hope you like it as much as I do.
