You're tuning in to The Mike & Phebe Show; in today's episode we're talking to Amber Royer, President and CEO of Out of the Ashes Organization, a nonprofit organization established in 2023, and fellow member of the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley Chamber of Commerce. Knowing firsthand how Illicit Fentanyl can change lives, President and CEO Amber Royer has made it her goal to share her experience by trying to save as many lives as possible. Out of the Ashes Organization was created to be a voice for Richard, Amber's son who accidently passed away due to Fentanyl overdose. Amber discusses her nonprofit organization's mission and goals they hope to accomplish, what steps their organization is taking to advocate for legislative changes to hold fentanyl distributors accountable, and other important topics to bring awareness and educate our communities about illicit fentanyl usage.
Out of the Ashes Organization will be passing out Naloxone and sharing resources and information for treatment centers at two of their upcoming events in August 2024:
8/21/24 at Weston Park in Hemet, CA - 2nd Annual National Fentanyl Awareness & Education Day
8/31/24 at the Lake Elsinore Storm Stadium, a Baseball Fundraiser
