Episode Synopsis

Inspired by Welsh folklore, Rhiannon tells the story of the legendary Wicca Witch of Wales as she fights desperately to protect her beloved country and woodlands from a ruthless English king. In Episode One "She Who Rules These Woods" we meet Rhiannon as she protects a group of villagers from an attack by a vanguard of English soldiers. Using her supernatural powers, she drives the soldiers off. However, Rhiannon's wise brother-in-law, King Aldith, warns her and her son, Pryderi, that her rash actions will provoke an attack by the ruthless English King Edward I "Longshanks".
