Description
In this episode, we look at the Greek word “Koinas” and how its used in the New Testament. This word has several different meanings and is often times translated “common” but this word can mean some other things as well. Koinas is used by Jewish groups to mean people who are not part of the “in crowd” or are outside the groups graces for various reasons. Such a meaning can be seen in places like Mark 7 and Acts 10 when the word “common” is meant as someone who is on the outside of the mainstream group. We also cover a couple other topics as well, including how to read sensitive biblical content with your children and if the Jewish prayers that are found in the traditional Jewish siddur today date back to the first century.
