Margaret McCartney is a GP in Glasgow and a Senior Lecturer at the University of St Andrews. She is a freelance writer, columnist for the BMJ, broadcasts for Radio 4’s Inside Health, writes regularly for The Guardian and is a sought after media commentator. She has written three books, The Patient Paradox, Living with Dying, and The State of Medicine.
