In the beginning of her food journey, Laura Taylor has produced plant based meal accompaniments that are colorful, tasteful and mimic their mainstream counterparts beautifully. They are, as the website says, "mindful alternatives" to processed sauces, salad dressings and sweet additives. Even though the company is young, Laura's branding and organization for her distributors and retailers is way ahead of the curve. Her previous employment in the food industry prepared her well. And how did it start? After giving birth and taking some time off, Laura decided she wanted a food product that reflected a reverence for good nutrition and good taste. And since her husband was getting an MBA at the same time, they made the new company his capstone project, where they could run financials and business plan in academia before implementing in the real world.
