Local Madison drummer Big John Smolak spent 2023 in the hospital when his diabetes went haywire. Big John talks about his health journey, obtaining a prosthetic to get back to work and playing drums, and the upcoming fundraiser for Big John at the Crucible nightclub in Madison on the east side on Sunday, September 14th from 2-7pm with local bands Motherhive, Static Affliction, Ironplow, and Abaddon's End.
