Listen "Black Maternal Wellness"
Episode Synopsis
Dr. Kerry-Anne Perkins, OBGYN joins us to discuss Black maternal wellness. Dr. Perkins has an extensive background in obstetrics, gynecology, and women's health. As we welcome a new bundle of joy into our family, being educated on pre and postnatal needs as well as labor and delivery is so important. Black women die at much higher rates than white women in childbirth so the importance of advocacy, education, support, and resources makes a huge difference when starting a pregnancy journey as a Black woman. Tune in as we discuss what questions to ask at your Doctor's appointments, Postpartum Depression in men, what to expect in the third trimester and so much more!
