Congrats to our client Mareike from Germany on completing the North Sea Ultra! She writes,



"A huge shout out to my Coach Abby! Last year I signed up for an Ultramarathon of 111km, taking part this year in March.

Unfortunately my training went south from December 2024, I felt off, I had a lot of stress at work, I didn’t always find the time to train and when I did it didn’t feel right.

Abby got me through this slump and we worked out a plan how to take part in the ultra and „just“ get to the 71km dropbag station (which would have been further than I ever ran) to drop out and support my team mates from there on.

When race day came I felt pretty confident that I could make it to this goal of dropping out and in the very back of my mind I thought: maybe I can go further . . .

Abby provided me with a perfect running strategy which I was able to follow all the way to 71k, further to the cut-off-aid station (which you had to leave before 8pm to stay in the race) at 91k and I still felt so strong! I continued to run and finished the North Sea Ultra with 113k on my watch and an official time of 16:06 and change.
It took me a long time to really understand what my body did that day.

I‘m so thankful for this great training the MTA coaches provide. Still no major running injuries! And I just ran the next half marathon, only five weeks after the unexpected 113 Kilometers."
