There is a unique route to be mapped for this audio series. In the weeks before releasing this first episode of this series, I was preparing for a 6 week sabbatical visiting friends around the United States. I will be spending time in at least 7 different states and reconnecting with friends from my own personal history, many who I haven’t seen in several years. Along the way I’ll be sitting down with some of them to document their relationship to place. I’m also returning to all three locations I shared about in the first episode: Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Detroit, and Washington state. I’ll be popping in throughout the series to share themes and thoughts around this project that have stood out to me during my travels.
