Send us a textText Hebrews 1:1-4. We begin our study of the book of Hebrews with some introductory material on the book itself. This book is a rich study that shows how the Old Testament scriptures points to the New Law of the Spirit that opened with the life, death, and resurrection of the Son of God, Jesus Christ. These first four verses of the text beautifully describe God's view of the timeline of His communication with humankind in this physical world. First, God spoke His will to the patriarchs (heads of families) and prophets so they could relay orally the word of God. Then God through Moses gave us a written law. And finally, God sent a Son to bring a law of the Spirit. Hebrews opens with God's perspective of Jesus as the final revelation of His will and word.Jesus is unchanging and His name is supreme.
