Brought in initially on loan to cover injuries, Tim Flowers never managed to play a game for Manchester City. However, when Stuart Pearce became Blues boss, he signed Flowers as his goalkeeping coach - allowing him to look after the likes of David James, Nicky Weaver and, briefly, Joe Hart.
