Listen "14: Redefining School: Is Homeschool Right For My Kid? Part 1 of 2 | Anita Gibson"
Episode Synopsis
This next topic is a conversation I get asked about ALL THE TIME! You might know that my daughter needed to go to homeschool for half of her school year last year. It was completely unexpected. It was out of the blue, and I was utterly unprepared. And the guest today, Anita Gibson, knows that homeschooling is not what it used to be. It's not the homeschool we knew 20 years ago; there are a ton of different reasons that families are starting to consider it, and tons of different circumstances are meriting this change. So I'm excited to have Anita as it's something so many parents are exploring as we look at nontraditional ways to meet more of our neurodivergent kids, where they are, and where school systems are bringing about a lot of controversies and some of their different policies and programming. And again, parents are up against the line in making all kinds of different decisions as it relates to the health, well-being, and education of their children. S Anita Gibson is an author, speaker, and educational strategist. For over 20 years, she's provided academic strategies and programs for homeschooled students and organizations. Anita's book Star Finder assists parents with finding their children's strengths, talents, and abilities and offers resources to discover their future potential. I know this episode will be a blessing in so many ways! Links: https://hslda.org/
