Repentance may be an old fashioned word, and probably out of date, but what it really means is stop being stupid when your life is in a mess, and go down another road and stop falling in the hole on that road that one is so familiar with. This involves two things-one is to admit that life is a mess and you cant fix it; two, to make a choice to change your lifestyle by asking for help and then doing what is advised. In real terms, there is no other option but to cry out to God and ask Him to help you and send someone across your path to guide and teach you how to change for the better. This is not being sorry, but a true remorse from the heart asking for God's forgiveness.
