Zoe Lord is a Queen’s University graduate student studying cognitive load in virtual reality environments for chemistry education and a Scientist-Astronaut candidate at the International Institute for Astronautical Sciences (IIAS) conducting bioastronautics research. 

Prior to graduate work Zoe earned two Bachelor’s of Science degrees in the Specializations of Neuroscience and Chemistry with a Minor in Biology at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. 

In this episode Zoe talks about her VR research and shares stories about training to be an astronaut, what it’s like to be on a micro-gravity plane, and how it felt recently flying a plane for the first time.
