Listen "117 - On Waiting Well (Advent)"
Episode Synopsis
We live in a world where we are constantly pushed towards rush, hurry and distraction. We're all familiar with the unconscious reaction to pull out our phone whenever we're faced with any delay or a moment's pause. We tend to fill any empty space. What does this have to do with waiting? There is joy to be found in the anticipation of what we're waiting for, but when we distract ourselves through the waiting we can cheat ourselves of that joy. Robbing ourselves of the build up. David poses the question: How much of your time do you spend thinking about the past, the present and the future? Are we missing out on the present by always reaching ahead to get to the future we're dreaming of?(Ironic TLDR: Embracing the waiting can enrich our lives as we enjoy the build up and anticipation of things we're looking for. )Send us a Message via "Fan Mail" (What is there to lose?)
