Lent is the season when Christians around the world draw closer to God in preparation for Easter. This is a good time to have a DTR with God.

DTR = Define the relationship

Like dating, is your relationship with God causing you:
1. To ache for Him? (Psalm 42:1-2)
“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God.”

2. To have Him on your mind all the time?
Or hear His voice? (Deut. 11:18, John 10:14, 27)
“Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds.”

Challenge: Enjoying God through scripture memorization
A few useful examples:
a. Bible on the go
b. “Heat of the moment” situations in life
c. Sharing with others

Application:
Memorize 1 Cor. 13:1-7, Psalm 23, or Matthew 5:3-12

3. To talk about Him to everyone? (John 4:28-29)
