Prof. Markus Bühler - an alumnus of the University of Stuttgart - is a materials scientist and engineer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he holds the endowed McAfee Professorship of Engineering chair. The focus of his research is computational materials science for biological materials.
