This is my second Mother’s Day without Lilly back in early 2021 I had a miscarriage and for the first time in my life I was actually able to see the physical part of her growing and it scared the shit out of me I had spent a very very long time thinking I was crazy and being told I was crazy and so for me I couldn’t believe it I started to replay the old things people used to say to me just because it was a lot easier to think like that than to be able to really feel and look at how it can impact you the last few days I’ve been really moody I’ve had a really hard time with everything I’m overwhelmed it’s just a lot of stuff you know I am trying to take on more projects and trying to figure out a balance and I just had this underlying deep agitation. I didn’t realize that the work I’ve done especially in the last 6 to 7 months has been really just getting rid of all of those old thoughts from the past of people saying stuff to me and letting them dictate my life and so today it just kind of made sense you know because I’ve really gotten a lot farther in feeling emotions regarding standing up for myself and my new phrase is if I’m not in danger I don’t care. I used to always be super worried about what other people said but I now realize that unless if I’m in danger from that person then I don’t need to worry about them being an asshole to me or just being a dick I mean I can totally stand up for myself but sometimes I just fucking don’t even wanna put energy to it
