For most Black people, we don't know anything about our past. Not our lineage, nor our origins. That's why capturing the stories of our ancestors so that we can understand where we come from has so much value. Only rarely can we learn about those amazing glimpses behind the curtain of our past and connect them all the way to Africa. For those who can, it's a treasured story that deserves to be shared in the hope that everyone else can understand the collective experiences of our ancestors.
