(or PIL) are an English post-punk rock band formed by John Lydon (previously of the Sex Pistols), guitarist Keith Levene (one of the original members of The Clash) bassist Jah Wobble (who cut his teeth in the band) and drummer Jim Walker. The group's line-up has changed frequently over the past few decades with Lydon being the only constant member.Public Image Ltd. released their eleventh studio album End of World in August 2023.I saw Public Image at Poole Arts Centre in November 1983. My lasting memory is when Lydon appeared on stage wearing a large, cobalt blue coat. I wanted that coat. After the first song (Public Image) he threw it into the crowd so I lunged for it. Everybody did the same and I watched in horror as it was wrenched from my grip and ripped to pieces. I hope you enjoy this episode.Mathew Woodall
