Yes. He does. A very nuanced and compelling one. The original trilogy seems plot-centric at first glance, which is precisely why its protagonist's arc works so well. It is organically linked to the plot. Luke's transformation throughout the original trilogy is a tour de force of writing, and writers can learn a lot by looking a little deeper at these films.
