On Day 8 of our 12 Days of Christmas teaching series, we reflect on the powerful truth of Emmanuel—“God with us.” Matthew reminds us of Isaiah’s prophecy that a virgin would conceive and bear a son, and His name would signify God dwelling among His people. The name Jesus, meaning “The Lord Saves,” perfectly reflects His destiny to save us from sin and bring us into a relationship with God.This teaching reminds us that, like Jesus, our names and identities are often tied to our destinies. God’s purpose for each of us is written into who we are, and through Christ, we are invited to fully step into that purpose. How are we living in alignment with the identity and destiny God has given us?
