When the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted his routine, Michael struggled with a lack of structure. However, he found solace and freedom in endurance athletics, falling in love with running and fitness in 2023. Despite facing significant challenges, he ran his first marathon in August 2023, an event that tested his mental resilience to the limit. Although he was underprepared and had overtrained, Michael's determination saw him through to the finish line.
Since then, he has completed the Vancouver Marathon and is gearing up for the Banff Marathon in a week. His future plans include preparing for a half Ironman, with many more impressive feats on the horizon. One day, Michael is determined to complete an Ironman and beyond. His journey is a powerful testament to the strength of the human mind and the importance of perseverance.
Michael draws inspiration from his father, a police officer, and recognizes how blessed and thankful he is for the support and opportunities he has. Known for his empathy and positive outlook on life, Michael is a beacon of hope and determination.
