Detroit Tigers were shutout by the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday afternoon at Comerica Park, falling 3-0. Despite an impressive three-hit game from Zach McKinstry, the Tigers' offense couldn't capitalize on their opportunities, stranding multiple runners throughout the game. Keider Montero started for Detroit and allowed three runs over five innings, including a two-run homer by Zach Neto in the fifth inning. The Tigers' bullpen, featuring Joey Wentz and Will Vest, kept the Angels scoreless in their innings but the damage was already done. Angels' starter Jack Kochanowicz was dominant, pitching six shutout innings with four strikeouts, stifling the Tigers' bats.
