The Cincinnati Reds finally made the playoffs in 2025 for a brief cup of espresso. Nick Krall must give Terry Francona the necessary pieces in order to ensure that isn't the best thing to happen to the Reds during the tenure of Elly De La Cruz. Breakout performances are nice, but betting on Matt McLain, Noelvi Marte, and Spencer Steer to all breakout while not addressing the needs of this roster would be a crime. The Reds need power in the lineup and another outfielder before we can feel good about the Reds taking advantage of this window of contention.
