Despite two rain delays, The New York Mets got an excellent start from Clay Holmes and enough offense courtesy of a Francisco Alvarez 2-run home run to defeat the Washington Nationals, 2-0. Considering the circumstances, it may have been Clay Holmes best start of the season. 5 scoreless innings that saw Holmes get the Nationals to POUND the ball into the ground.
