It looked like Montreal was set to easily snap their losing streak before a match penalty for Brendan Gallagher turned things on its head. While the Islanders battled back to tie the game, a late goal from Sean Monahan and some incredible work from Samuel Montembeault salvaged a regulation win for the Habs.The hosts however are extremely upset with Brendan Gallagher, whose hit to the head of Adam Pelech forced his team to kill a five-minute power play off. It resulted in the Islanders tying the game, and forced Samuel Montembeault to be near-superhuman to end the game.
