Listen "150: How to Run Live Online Courses with Pro Podcaster and Community Builder Adam Silver"

Episode Synopsis

Pro podcaster and community builder Adam Silver shares expert tips on how to create a community around your online course in this episode of LMScast with Chris Badgett of LifterLMS. Adam shares his story of how he got involved in the WordPress community and how in person Meetups have greatly influenced his WordPress experience.

Chris and Adam discuss the benefits and downsides of giving your customers lifetime access to your course versus limited time access. They also talk about the differences between evergreen content and content that dates itself. They get into some of the different situations where you may want to grant customers different access levels and times based on the relevancy and expiration date that your content has (when it outdates itself or is no longer applicable).

Adam has two podcasts called The Get Options Podcast and Kitchen Sink WP. He shares his experiences with creating and running these podcasts. He shares strategies that you can use to make your own podcast to add to your online content suite or market for your content.

Adam also has a company called ConciergeWP where they take care of your WordPress website so you can focus on other aspects of building your business. Adam also hosts a WordPress Meetup in his community for people in his local area to get together and share ideas and connect about a common interest. Sponsors will also occasionally pay to host one of these Meetups to gain access to Adam’s audience, but to maintain the authenticity of the group Adam stresses taking only the sponsorships relevant for his group members.

Chris and Adam talk about this and much more in this episode of LMScast.
