Here are some thoughts to reflect on:
For sin to succeed,
temptation must succeed.
For temptation to succeed,
deception must succeed.
For deception to succeed,
I must believe a lie.
Where a lie is believed
there is bondage.
Where there is bondage
there is inner turmoil––
Your feelings reflect
what you believe.
Only Jesus can show me
the lie I've been believing.
Only Jesus can speak
the truth to my heart.
To hear the truth from Jesus
is to be set free.
Every attempt at an answer short of direct contact with Jesus is futile.
So Jesus calls to us: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28
