Listen "No Excuse Possible"
Episode Synopsis
“I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent and live!” Ezekiel 18:32
For love to exist in God's creation freedom is a given. Essentially it is the freedom to repent and choose love over against self-centeredness. Choose love— other-centeredness towards God and all creation — and God goes to work to make that person an extension of his life. Choose self-centeredness and in the end cruelty results which is worse than death.
So God works ceaselessly to bring us to repentance and life, and no matter what he does, it cannot be done better. For that matter, it is impossible for God to do something — anything — that is not simultaneously the highest good possible for everything he's created. When he acts in justice, it is our highest good. When he acts in wrath, when he acts in mercy, when he acts in compassion, it is our highest good. When he exalts himself, withdraws himself, when he rejects, accepts, destroys, forgives, punishes, comforts — every act, every attitude, every reaction — it is the highest conceivable expression of his goodness at that moment towards all creation or any part of it.
To suppose otherwise is to have substituted a figment of one's imagination for the true and living God. A "god" believed to be capable of ever doing something less than the best for the least of his creation, simply does not exist.
So in the end, no one will be lost because God chose not to do something for them that he could have done. Everything is in place for each one of us to not die but repent and live!
