Listen "Be Very Careful"
Episode Synopsis
In Ephesians 5:15-17 (NIV) we read, “Be very careful, then, how you live —not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”
In view of that exhortation, here are what I think are two important and helpful questions we can consider regarding anything we intend to do:
Number one: is Jesus in it?
that is, Do I stand to experience more of him in thinking along these lines? in doing this? in pursuing that? Are we together in it?
And number two: is this being useful to him?
that is, Does what I’m thinking, doing, or pursuing, now or eventually result in somehow making it easier for others to experience his goodness and love through me?
