We all have different mental models. Our mental model about our finances has been formed by our life experiences, but these often don’t line up with God’s way of thinking. God’s model for our finances is not one of being an owner, but a steward. If God came down and gave an account of how you’re managing His finances, would He agree that you’re stewarding it in a way that honors Him? Pastor Daniel reminded us that when we shift our thinking to stewardship, we give the control back to God, the owner, and we can begin to live in freedom.
