Author of the newly released book, Please, Don't Send Me Flowers, she writes about her difficult first marriage plagued by emotional abuse, the challenges of telling her family she was in love with a woman, and her experience as a cancer patient and now cancer survivor. She also talks about finding her strength as a runner and fitness instructor and the energy one finds in deep, mutual love. She talks about the joys of family and community.
